teacher gave a star

So, I Missed out yesterday... Its going to tough for me to write daily, for 2 things... one I need the time to write & most importantly, I have to spend at least few hours with Vitthal to have something to write. The good thing is even if I manage to spend an hour with him, he is bound to say something spectacular-spectacular.

Well! Last few days he is not keeping well. And on top of that Gauri gave him a swine-flu vaccination yesterday. So, he had fever. And, One thing we have noticed is that, in fever he becomes hipper active. So, today morning was no different, & as he didn't go to school, I had an hour extra to play with him.

In middle of the play, he saw track marks on my hand (track marks are small stars/dots we VFX people use to track object etc.) My team had drawn multiple marks on me yesterday as we were doing some test shoot at the office. Now the track marks reminds Vitthal of the star his teacher gives him at school. And he promptly showed off his star. And he has his way of telling/ boasting about the star he gets. "Malla hey teacher ni diile". And the next line was, "tulla hey kuni diile ?"(who drew the mark on your hand?) That also in front of Gauri. That very moment, Gauri's eyes starred at me, ears raised, to know the teacher was in my life, who has given so many stars yesterday. What should I tell? & do you think she will believe me? And for Vitthal, he kept on pestering for the answer I didn't want to give, just to check Gauri's limits. :-)

Vitthal's Week end

So... The whole idea of writing started since, Vitthal had gone to his Mama's village along with Gauri for the weekend. And I was missing him. Well! that was not the case with him. He was all over the farm, the green house, bike rides & was in no mood to come back home. So, when "Aai" told him it's time to leave, he was bit disappointed. But finally like a nice boy took it sportingly... On one condition!(now that's not that nice) He wanted to take along 1 green house, 2 goats, 2 black "hamma" (buffalos) & 1 white baby cow to home. So, Aai had to do lot of convincing to get him out of that mind set. Like we don't have place to keep them at home, for that he had a ready answer, " we have a terrace". Finally the one idea she gave that, he can marry Mama daughter when he grows up & there is a chance of him getting these things if Mama agrees. Luckily Vitthal still doesn't understand the meaning of the word "marry". Good for me, or he will start asking for that. That's asking for more trouble. So, Aai has already started making plans for this marriage. Mothers will always be same all over.

Just deviating a bit from the topic, When Gauri shows a little girl who might be ideal for him, (yes, she actually does that)its not a bad manner. But if I say the same thing,(Well! the only difference is she looks at a 18 months old girl & I look at 18 year young girl) She shouts back at me saying its bad manner. "Main Karun tho Sala Character Dhila hai".

See you soon.

Introduction to Vitthal

To start off, This idea of writing a blog about my 3 & 1/2 yr. son came to few days back when he suddenly asks me "Pa, when will we buy a new Vehicle" as we drove past a Benz showroom. My heart beat stopped for a moment. Well! since at his age his "Pa" didn't even knew the word "Vehicle" forget Benz.

That just reminded me what I was missing when I was not with him.

People who know would also know the amount I spend at work...away from the family. Specially when I am out on shoots. So, this place I am trying to write as much as I can about the little time I spend with my jr. born on 20th feb 2008, and was named "Vitthal". Will be at least writing few lines daily about my time spend with him. On days when I won't be able to meet him, will try go back in memory lane & try remembering the days spend with him, his many first's & experiences.

So, The idea is to remember the things he spoke, his liking's, the small little cute & not so cute things he did from the days from his birth.

Hope this idea works, to keep the memories of him intact.
